Near Cat Ba Island, we’ll visit Viet Hai Village, surrounded by lush mountains. Cycling through this valley offers a glimpse into the secluded life of the locals, who grow their food and fish in the bay. After returning to the ship, we’ll head to our overnight stop in Lan Ha Bay. Join a cooking class with the chef in the dining room, focusing on Vietnamese food.
Relax at the bar or try some squid fishing before heading to your suite for the night.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay Mooring – Cat Ba National Park – Lan Ha Bay Mooring
Start your day with Tai Chi on the terrace deck, energizing yourself in the morning sun. While you enjoy breakfast, the ship will sail towards the northern entrance of Cat Ba Island and its national park. A scenic bus ride through the lush park will lead you to the start of a leisurely hike, allowing you to explore the designated biosphere reserve. The park is home to a vast array of plant and animal species, including deer, macaques, and various birds and reptiles.
After returning to the ship for lunch, enjoy sailing to a secluded spot for the afternoon activities. You can choose to relax on a natural beach, kayak through the calm waters, or indulge in spa treatments onboard. Take this leisurely afternoon to create lasting memories in Lan Ha Bay.
As evening approaches, the ship will cruise to its overnight mooring location. Delight in a gourmet dinner and participate in the guided “Singing Bowl Meditation” session, or simply unwind on your private balcony in your suite.

In case of unfavorable weather conditions in Halong Bay leading to trip cancellation, the decision will be determined by the Halong Bay Management Board on the day of the trip. If such a situation occurs, we can arrange alternative travel options as per your request or provide a refund following the cruise policy.

Pay 30% of the adult rate when sharing a cabin with two adults (using existing bed or extra bed).
Pay 75% of the adult rate when sharing a cabin with one adult (using existing bed). Children aged 12 and above must pay the full adult fare. Admission Fee: A mandatory charge of 13 USD per person for the 1-night itinerary and 19 USD per person for the 2-night itinerary applies. This surcharge is applicable for cruise-only or tour bookings involving a Lan Ha Bay cruise. Entrance fees are subject to change without prior notice. Peak Season Surcharge: A surcharge of 50 USD per adult and 25 USD per child applies to cruise (or tour) bookings on Christmas Eve (24 December) and New Year’s Eve (31 December).

The fishing guide was first rate and we caught more fish than we could have hoped for - more than 25 each day - with the added bonus of being the only other people in sight for miles arround. AAT created a private ger camp for us on the Onon River and we enjoyed delicious food prepared by our chef in a beautiful unspoled atmosphere. They alo arranged for us to visit a nomadic family and spend time with them at home and organized a dinner with an anthropologist with expert knowledge of the region. AAT fullfilled their promise to tkae us to us to one of the world's best fishing destinations in comfort and style. We would be happy to travel with AAT again and will definitely recommend them to our friends.

For our Siem Reap/Angkor Wat journey, our party of two had a private driver and guide named Jak, who was a cheerful and knowledgeable companion, explaining the history, culture, architecture and religious significance of the sites while keeping it always fun. We moved efficiently from site to site, and finished with a boat tour of the fishing village on stilts at Kampong Pluk on the Tonle Sap Lake. During most of our trip we stayed at top-notch locally-owned hotels, but in Siem Reap we were at the excellent local Hyatt hotel. Absolute Asia and My Way Travel our outstanding local providers, less expensive than name-brand group tours, and customized to our interests and schedule.
