This morning in Shanghai, visit the peaceful Jade Buddha Temple, a serene sanctuary in the heart of the city, known for its beautifully carved jade Buddha statues. Here, you can wander through charming alleyways filled with boutique shops, galleries, and cafés, offering a glimpse into Shanghai’s creative side. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Beijing.

Meet your private guide and begin your day in Beijing with a visit to Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world and a site of great historical significance. Continue along Beijing’s central axis to the magnificent Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. After breakfast, enjoy a comfortable drive of approximately two hours through the countryside. Upon arrival, take a cable car up to the wall and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Less crowded and beautifully restored, Mutianyu offers a more relaxed and immersive experience. You’ll have time to walk along the ancient ramparts and take in the impressive landscape. For a fun and unique descent, you may choose to ride the optional toboggan back down (at your own expense). After descending from the Mutianyu Great Wall, continue to the Dingling Tomb, part of the Ming Tombs complex, where you can explore its impressive underground palace and learn about imperial history. On the return journey to Beijing, enjoy a brief stop to view the iconic Beijing National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) and Beijing National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) from the outside. On your final day in Beijing, visit the magnificent Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where emperors once prayed for peace and a good harvest.
