Mui Ne is a fishing town on Vietnam’s southeast coast that grew into a kitesurfing centre because of a reliable cross-shore wind between November and April. Anantara Mui Ne sits directly on the beach, low-rise and shaded, with rooms and pool villas opening onto gardens rather than corridors.
The landscape inland is the reason to stay more than a night: red and white sand dunes, the Fairy Stream canyon, and a working fish market on the harbour at dawn. It is a four-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, which makes it the usual beach stop on a southern route.
